The Journey to Proper Fit:
Over 15 years in the fitness industry as a leading personal trainer I have challenged the norms and preconceptions of how weight training should be carried out and developed my own brand of exercises and routines that provide multiple physical and mental benefits. My PT role with my clients has stretched far beyond hourly sessions into much more of an all-round coach, investing more care and time into each client’s food and lifestyle choices. Keeping in regular contact outside of personal training sessions helps each individual achieve more, and provides satisfaction for both of us, as we develop long-lasting, valuable relationships together.
My knowledge, experience and attention to detail helps me carefully select the most effective exercises to suit each person’s unique make up. I analyse many factors including flexibility, strength, power, endurance, posture, form, speed and coordination.
Professional background:
I have a degree in Marketing, but sport has been my passion from a young boy on the cricket field. I started weight training at University and immediately felt the benefits, both physically and mentally. I wanted to build my own knowledge base, but also to help inspire and teach others: my career in personal training was born.
I qualified as a Personal Trainer in 2006, having trained intensively with Premier Global for 4 months at a camp in Cyprus to obtain the Level 2 Fitness Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification. Upon returning to the UK, I joined one of the world’s leading health clubs, at one of their flagship branches. I built a loyal client base from an early stage, whilst continually developing and learning new skills, meaning I had a regular spot in the top 10 trainers at the company each year. I progressed to Elite Trainer, and finally to Master Trainer, before deciding to launch Proper Fit.
